Downloaded XDK.exe tagged as a threat by Norton and automatically deleted before installation

Hi. I was very interested in downloading and installing Intel XDK (version 2807 as a potential platform for an upcoming class on app design). However, after downloading the executable, Norton Antivirus flagged your XDK...exe file as "UNSAFE" and immediately deleted it. I tried again on a second computer, also protected by Norton, and experienced the same result. The reason for rejection and immediate removal, according to Norton, was a threat it called "WS.Reputation.1", which suggests that "a large number of users marked this .exe file as a potential threat. The exact nature of that threat, however, was not disclosed by Norton.  In any event, I am therefore unable to install the current version of XDK. Do, you have any suggestions, or a possible workaround for this?

Thank you, in advance, for your assistance.

There's no way for us to change Norton's signatures directly... you'll have to disable Norton to perform the installation or find some way within the Norton app to mark this as a safe app. We have someone looking into informing Norton of this invalid signature, but it is not clear how successful we will be or long it will take to get them to fix that issue.

What OS is your computer running?

Are you running the latest version of Norton?

I installed a Windows VM with the latest Norton Antivirus and had no issues. Can you provide more details about your system? We did contact Norton and they provided these directions about how to temporarily disable Norton.
