Hardware Transform & lighting issue in XP

Ok, let's talk about serious matters because i see the people complaining but not answer given from Intel.

The HT&L DOES NOT work, I mean the 3Dmark DOES NOT recognice it, some other games and Everest Ultimate NEITHER. I should say this happens in Vista and Xp, althougth in Vista you may able to activate AeroGlass but as soon as you change the skin the aero vanishes and you can't get it back.

That is the first of my concenrs, and I'd like a good feed back, because the email to intel support didn't get an anwer. Should i get back my laptop to the shop and get an AMD Laptop with an ATI o NVIDIA card? And all my friends as well?
I'm an laptops shop manager.. Should i say to my costumers NOT TO buy any Cpu with any intel graphic card?

Because is not only me who complains, are the custumers that ask me for an answer and i can't tell them anything.

Actually i don't mind if intel is working in an revolucionary driver that could adjust itself from soft H&L to hard H&L, I'd like to have it working now!!
Then, they can release the fixes to make the dynamic adjustment , but first make it work!!

And the laptop i'm selling right now are the Qwanta Tw7 intel core duo2, 1.5, 1GB ram.
So IS NOT hardware issue, even the Graphics BIOS is the lastest avaliable (1471).

Buddy, it does have hardware T&L. And it had the ability to change between hardware and software depending on the app ever since the 14.31 production driver. You are making assumptions not based on facts. The reason 3dmark doesn't recognize hardware T&L is because Intel has set it that way. 3dmark scores are in overall higher with software T&L which is why Intel enabled software mode for 3dmark.

You can manually set between hardware and software T&L actually. Its in the registry. I have XP and I can tell you those DWORD values in the registry really forces software T&L in some games. The default mode of processing with the IGP with post-14.31 production drivers is hardware mode. Intel has set certain applications and games to force run on software so it runs faster.

Go search for _3dmark05.exe(or whatever is the name of the 3dmark plus the _ on the front). And you'll see various DWORD values that is set to 1. 1 means software T&L is enabled. When the game you have installed don't have any DWORD value it means its running it on hardware. Also, you can set DWORD value to 0 to make it run on hardware.

Thank you DavidC1, I'm still waiting for an Intel's answer, but your explanation is good. Just one point.. We all know that the X3100 is supposed to have HT&L.
And we all know that the fact in software mode it works much better.

But the point is that some programs does not run. And they don't run just because the drivers aren't done or intel lied and there is not HT&L. It can't be thet CoD4 can't run in Xp. It can't be that 3DMark can't run in Xp. It can't be that some other programs warning there is no HT&L.
The drivers aren't working or there is nothing to work with, And I shouldn't touch the windows registrity under any means.

So, there is an issue, and they have to get the hands on it.
Otherwise there is not HT&L. Because is not fully functional. I can't tell the costumers they have to be a I.T. to use this graphic card.
What should i say to the dad that bought one laptop and can't even run most games?

Something is worng here and it's not me.
I'm not asking for an impressive performance, only to get it working just fine.
