Hello! Thanks in advance for help provided!
Have an old version of the "Intel C++ Compiler for Windows*" product - version 9.0.
This is being run in the Microsoft Visual C++ Professional 6.0 development environment.
At which point in the Intel C++ compiler evolution does support of this Microsoft
developmentenvironment stop?
Does this particular Intel product permit free download of the Math Kernel Library?
(Sorry - don't remember if this product is different from a possibly-existing
"Professional" product)
Asking this in context of consideration of renewing expired software support.
Thanks!! Phill

Please see this article on the historyof supported Visual Studio - http://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/intel-c-compiler-for-windows-intel-c-compilers-and-microsoft-visual-c/
If it does not answer your question, please let us know.
Also note: "renew" will start from the support-end-date of your existing license. This may not be a good choice. There is a new product called "Intel Parallel Composer 2011" that is a light weight compiler without Profile Guilded Optimization and some fine-tune options. See if it's a good one for you. It is part of Intel Parallel Studio 2011.
thanks,
Jennifer

Parallel Composer doesn't come with Intel MKL though. C++ Composer XE does. The old 9.0 compiler as far as I recall did not come with any performance libraries. It looks like 10.1 professional edition did though, so you could use that and keep your Visual C++ 6.0* support. Understand though that we've just stopped supporting 10.1, so you will have some tradeoffs to make regardless.

Thank you Brandon!
Was there two different Intel C++ Comiler products, like a "standard" and "professional" version?
If so, do you know how I can tell which one I have?
Thanks! Phill.

Thank you Jennifer!
I think that it is possible for me to still download up to the last of the 10.1 series without renewal
of software support.
This helped immensely!
Thanks! Phill.

Yes, it is possible if your support service end date is after the 10.1 package date.
Please log on to the Registration Center and it should show the downloadable packages.
Thanks,
Jennifer
