Hello Expert,

I have a problem with my new LCD monitor Samsung 2232GW with Intel 915GM that there are no 1680x1050 resolution to be selected.

I try to use DTD Calculator with DTD value that has searched in the forum. These are my DTD that are on "Registry Hack" tab.

No of DTDs = 3
DTD 1 = 01 1D 80 18 71 1C 16 20 58 2C 1A 00 00 00 00 00 00 86
DTD 2 = 21 39 88 38 62 1A 27 40 68 B0 36 00 B1 0F 11 00 00 1C
DTD3 = 7C 2E 90 A0 60 1A 1E 40 30 20 36 00 D9 28 11 00 00 1E

Who can help me to solve this problem please explain in step by step.

Thank you.

DTD 2 and 3 that you have defined are 1680x1050; DTD 1 is 1920x1080. Exactly what problem are you having?

Hi archibael,

Thank you very much for your kind help.

Do you mean want me delete DTD1 ?

After delete DTD1 and move DTD2 to 1 and DTD3 to 2, it still can not drive 1680x1050 on my LCD and still just 1400x1050.

And the follow is the output from MonInfo.

If your laptop resolution maxes out at 1400x1050, the limitation may be that the drivers will only display the lowest of the two. Certainly that is the case when you're trying to clone the display. Try setting the external monitor to be the primary or possibly shut off the laptop screen entirelyand see if 1680x1050 shows up.

Hi archibale,

Thank you so much for your reply, I have tried to shut off laptop screen. It has no 1680x1050 to be selected, just still only 1400x1050.

And in case of clone the display, It can max out at 1600x1200.

How can I go? please advise.

Hi archibael,

Thanks a lot for your help, please let me ask you again.. should I have EDID of my monitor first? Is it needed to calculate DTD?

However I have tried to find iton MonInfo but there are no any raw EDIDs on it.

Regards,
Ratha

Ratha,

It would be nice to have the EDID, but my concern is that even when you're programming 1680x1050 into the regstry it still doesn't seem to be showing up for you.
