How to set up 1024x768 in 16:9 mode?

Hi,

I would like to set up not usual resolution on my i915 laptop for my PDP screen to avoid stretching proportions. I have "HD-Ready" Pioneer PDP with 1024x768 resolution but 16:9 screen proportions. When I set up that resolution on my laptop I get stretched output because of the non-square pixels. I heard that NV drivers allow to set up screen proportions to correct this, but I can't find such options on my IGP.
Is it possible to force such resolution?
