I noticed that InAppBrowser events (loadstart, loadend, and exit) does not work in emulator/app preview. It will however work once the it is generated in apk. The workaround to is to lower the InAppBrowser version to v1.01 to get the events fire.
This plugin is not fully supported in Emulator or App Preview at this time. As you mentioned, v1.0.1 works. It is highly recommended that you build your project for the respective mobile platforms to fully leverage your included plugins.
