I want to create an (embedded) dedicated graphic application (read: game) running on dedicated hardware. I neither want nor need an "operating system" as such. All the documentation I have found tells me what the Integrated Graphics can do, but nowhere can I find information on how to use/access/program the Integrated Graphics hardware.
The proof-of-concept development hardware is:
Pentium M
852GM with ICH4
512 Mb memory
Two independent Flat Panel Displays (each single channel) using multiple display pipes.
I have consulted the following documents:
IA-32 Software Developer's Manual (vol. 1&3)
852GM/852GMV GMCH Datasheet
852GME GMCH Datasheet
852GM Embedded Platform Design Guide
82801DB IO Controller Hub 4 (ICH4) Datasheet
82801DBM ICH4-M Datasheet
810E GMCH Datasheet
IEGD and Video Bios v8.0 User's Guide
I even tried searching the Intel site for GAGP and Direct AGP information, which ended up either having circular references, or referred me to the sources listed above.
If the graphics hardware is integrated in the chipset, then why do I need to have a Linux or Windows driver to use it? For that matter, why can't I even find any documentation for it?
-Thanks
Robert

We have a developers guide. Is that not sufficient for your needs?
