Hallo everybody,
if there is someone installing trying to install Intel C++ Studio on Linux Debian 6.0 (Sqeeze),
don't worry and just ignore the following error messages:
"
-- Intel C++ Composer XE 2011 Update 4 for Linux*: unsupported OS
-- Intel Inspector XE 2011 Update 3: unsupported OS
-- Intel VTune Amplifier XE 2011 Update 3: unsupported OS
"
and in the more detailed form:
"
Intel C++ Composer XE 2011 Update 4 for Linux*: Detected operating system is
not supported. Supported operating systems for this release include:
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux* 4.0, 5.0, 6.0 (IA-32/Intel 64)
- Fedora* 12, 13 (IA-32/Intel 64)
- SuSE Linux* Enterprise Server* 10.x, 11.0 (IA-32)
- SuSE Linux* Enterprise Server* 10.0, 11.1 SP1 (Intel 64)
- Asianux* Server 3.0 (IA-32/Intel 64)
- Ubuntu* 10.04 (IA-32/Intel 64)
- Debian 5.0 (IA-32/Intel 64)
"
It also works fine in Debian 6.0 (at least on my system), even the VTuner, although giving that confusing error message:
Intel VTune Amplifier XE 2011 Update 3: The operating system detected is
not supported. Following are the supported operating systems for this release:
- CentOS* 5
- Fedora* 12, 13
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux* 4, 5, 6
- SuSE Linux* Enterprise Server* 10, 11
- Ubuntu* 10.04
Just skip those error messages.
