Intel Parallel Studio XE license

Helo,

I have a student license of the Intel Parallel Studio XE Cluster Edition. I use the Intel software tools (Fortran Compiler and MKL) to make some highly advanced quantum chemistry calculations, and for that I use 11 computers. Last year I was able to install the tools in 6 of these 11 computers with no problem. This year my license expired, so I got a new one. This week I got 5 new computers and I am trying to install with the new license without sucess.

I use a linux system, and when I try to install with the new serial number I got an error saying the the serial number is not valid. I am sure that I inserted it correctly.

How should I proceed?

Thak you in advance,

Cayo Gonçalves.

Hi Cayo,

Could you send me the serial number which you are trying to activate privately?

Thanks,
Varsha

Hi Cayo,

According to EULA, with named user license you can install on 3 systems. However, You could refer to the article below and check if it could help you.

Thanks,
Varsha

Hello Varsha,

On my account I see only two hosts id's. Is that correct? I used the new serial number only once, so far. The error appeared when I tried to install at two new computers at the same time.

How can I get a floating license? Am I able to change from a named-user to a floating license? Because my case is how the article you mentioned says, I have a cluster that uses the fortran compiler
