Is my R200 defect or not ?

Hi,

i have bought a Robotic Development Kit... but I can't get R200 to work.

I have followed tutorials and forum's post... but the problems remains:

1) When i connect r200 to USB3 port.. no led blinks... if i connect to usb2 port a led blinks once.

2) In windows 10, after installation of driver and SDK... the camera test fails (see screenshot)

3) In windows 7, i see r200 installed in control panel but the camera test doesn't see my r200

4) In ubuntu 14.10... i followed this tutorial: https://01.org/developerjourney/recipe/intel-realsense-robotic-development-kit#step7

but in step 7 i have an error: "Cannot access /sys/class/video4linux"

.... it is a firmware issue or a camera defect ?

thanks for support and

best regards

Dante

Hi Dante,

It seems like you might be describing a hardware issue if the camera doesn't work on either Windows 10 nor Ubuntu 14.10. I would recommend attempting to RMA the unit by emailing click.support@intel.com.

I got this error once when my camera did not get enough power. Did you use an extension cord to connect the camera to the usb port?

Thank you Rishabh and Kilian,

no.. i connect the camera to usb 3.0 port with only usb 3 cable of the box. I tried 4 USB ports.
