This is what is expected to happen:
-
You receive and email that alerts to new updates. Each update has a Download link.
-
You click on the Download link. You are taken to the IRC center to the Product Upgrade page where you are prompted to upgrade the product.
-
You click on the product. You will be taken to the download page that has the new SN for the product.
-
Once you download you will get an email with the new SN.
Can you describe your experience in more details to help me identify the potentially missing/broken link?
Thanks,
Noga – Intel Developer Support

We use Intel compilers since years.
At the Intel® Registration Center site , I found for my serial numbers
Intel® Cluster Studio for Linux* : 2013 SP1
Then I went to :
Intel® Parallel Studio XE Composer Edition for C++ Linux* Version 2016 Download.
Download OK.
But I cannot Install the product because my license file was build in june 2014.
Thanks for your help

I have sent you your license files. Were you able to install using Alternative activation and license files you have received in email (Attached to Registration email)?

Hello,
I Installed the license files you sent to me last week.
When I tried to install parallel_studio_xe_2016_composer_edition_for_cpp.tgz using my license server, I saw :
"The license server you provided does not have a valid license for this product"
You already know my serial numbers and my email adress.
I use the same license servers to use ifort version 14.0.2 without problems.
Thanks for your help

The Intel(R) Cluster Studio for Linux* product doesn't support version 2016. We are sorry. So you are not able to install the Intel(R) Parallel Studio XE 2016 component. Let me check what I can do to enable your licenses for installation of the Intel(R) Parallel Studio XE Composer Edition 2016.
Regards, Hubert.

Sorry for the delay, there is no decision yet. Please could you go ahead a register for an eval licenses that will cover the gap until you can get a 2016 upgrade?
Eval center:https://software.intel.com/en-us/intel-parallel-studio-xe/try-buy
It's sufficient to register for the Fortran/C++ Composer XE 2016 evals as the compilers are the only part affected by the 2016 upgrade. You can use all other components from your Intel(R) Cluster Studio for Linux* product.

I want to add to this thread, as I have just now encountered this issue ...
"The license server you provided does not have a valid license for this product."
and I would like to understand what next to do. Up in this thread, Hubert H. (Intel) says "The Intel(R) Cluster Studio for Linux* product doesn't support version 2016" . But our *active* product subscription for Intel Cluster Studio shows the PSXE 2016 versions *available* for download.
So of course, I tried to download and install them ....
And there does not seem to be a working product upgrade process for Cluster Studio (as described in the sticky post at the top of this forum). That is, this statement - "Clicking the latest update in the Download Latest Update column will lead you to the product upgrade page." - does not work for our Intel Cluster Studio network multi-user license.
What now?
