OS default value for "Timer tick resolution" incorrect

Hi! I'm using windows 7 and the power checker tool to test the power efficiency of my apps. For some reason my platform timer tick resolution shows a value 2.5ms for the baseline. I've been reading about it and it turns out it should have a default value of 15.6ms.

Is there any way to change the value back to 15.6ms for the OS?
