I have an active Student development suite license with which I could use the previous version of the C++ compiler, however I get this following message when trying to use my license key:
Activation rights do not allow this software to be installed. This could be due to expired subscription or incompatible serial number.
My subscription is active and I have triple checked the serial number, even though it is copied straight form my account site.
I have had no problems activating Amplifier XE or Inspector XE.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Update: Entering the serial number directly didn;t work, but using remote activation process did.

Dear customer,
I'm glad to hear that you've solved the problem. Probably your machine, on which you were installing the product, has some problem in connecting to our registration center server. The installer needs to connect to the server for serial number verification and license file download. Remote activation is a good workaround for such case. Enjoy the product.
