Hi
I installed Intel® C++ Studio XE for Linux in a Scientific Linux 6.3 machine. The installation finished successfuly and the different components that I tried are running without any problem.
However, running
package-cleanup --problems
gives back
Package intel-idb-common-146-13.0-2.noarch requires intel-compilerpro-common-146 = ('0', '13.0', None)
Indeed, I checked the requirements of intel-idb-common-146-13.0-2.noarch and the are the following:
lsb >= 3.0
/usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6
intel-compilerpro-common-146 = 13.0
rpmlib(PayloadFilesHavePrefix) <= 4.0-1
rpmlib(CompressedFileNames) <= 3.0.4-1
Well, apparently the compiler's version is 13.1-2. Is this a problem of the RPM? Should it be >= 13.0 ?
Thanks

Hello,
I can reproduce the problem and have forwarded it to engineering. It seems to only occur for Intel(R) Composer XE 2013 Update 2 & 3. Update 1 and the initial release are OK.
Unfortunately it cannot be fixed in retrospect. Only a future Update (starting with 4) will have this fix. Until then you can ignore the wrong dependency. It should not have any impact on functionality.
Thank you very much for finding and reporting this!
Best regards,
Georg Zitzlsberger
