Interesting and useful post. Re FOPS and CVF 6.1, move on to CVF 6.5a. Error handling in CVF 6.5a is second to none (be it via AC++, AC++, or Delphi) and is both well documented and illustrated in the latest Compaq manual(I). In mixed language paps, I poll the fpu sw on a regular basis and reset the cw as necessary, particularly if the mix involves the incongrous coupling of MS- and Borland-centric components. Failure to do so ultimately leads to annoying surprises.
Good Luck,
Gerry T.

The spelling in my previous post suffers from running it thro' the 'Spell Check'. Here are the corrections: 'FOPS' reads FPS, 'AC++' reads 'VC/BC++', '(l)' reads (s), and 'paps' reads apps. With my apologies, EO&E.
