I am trying to install Parallel Studio 2016 XE on Windows ( I have an existing XE 2015 installation) as an upgrade. My old license is single user.
Go to registration center @intel.com. Everything looks good - my maintenance is up to date.
- Tried to "activate": using the serial # ( this failed)
- Went to the license management page for the product. I found that mysteriously I now have 3 (three!) HostID's registered. It seem that although the previous step failed, it somehow registered the 3 adapters on my computer as HostIDs. Does this mean I have used up all my HostIDs??
- I downloaded the license file, tried to activate using that, and got "the license file provided is invalid".
- Went to "Premier Support" and found the there is no support for Parallel Studio XE anymore ????
Honestly, Intel has completely shot itself in the foot with this mess.
