The Intel Software Setup Assistant has stopped working - PS XE 2013

I just installed the new Parallel Studio 2013 on my laptop, and it was easy.  I tried doing the same on my workstation, and the installer (Setup.exe) crashes.  I've gone through the workstation and made sure the Windows updates, VS runtimes, everything is exactly the same as the laptop, but it still crashes.  Tried uninstalling VS 2012 Prof and then installing Parallel Studio 2013, it still crashes. 

The workstation is a late 2008 Mac pro with Windows 7 64-bit.

Any suggestions?

OK, I managed to get it to install, but I had to remove all the PS XE 2011 versions first, grrrrrrr.......
