Hi,
I want to start working with the Intel Real sense SDK with this Kit: http://click.intel.com/intel-realsense-developer-kit.html. Unfortunetly I am not able to get it working with my HP ProDesk workstation:
- Intel i7-4770
- Windows 8.1 64 Bit
- USB 3.0 port
I have tried all USB 3.0 Ports. But the camera is not recognized by the system. The "F200 Intel RealSense Depth Camera Manager Version 1.2 & 1.3" always arbort with the error message, that no camera could be found. "Cannot find any Intel® RealSense™ 3D-Kamera on this system"
Also the Windows-Camera App does not find anything. The device-manager of Windows does not show any errors. But it only sais "Generic USB Hub", when plugging in the camera. Only the microphone is recongnized correctly.
I have also installed this driver: http://support.creative.com/Products/ProductDetails.aspx?catID=218&CatName=Web-Kameras&subCatID=231&subCatName=MIDI+Keyboards&prodID=22257&prodName=Intel+RealSense+Developer+Kit&bTopTwenty=1&VARSET=prodfaq:PRODFAQ_22257,VARSET=CategoryID:218 but still no luck.
What am I doing wrong? Do you have any idea how I get this camera to work with my system?
Greetings
Michael

Please attach a pix of your Device Manager with the USB controllers section exploded. (Also look under system device, unknown devices, and other USB sections to see if the camera is seen as a not named device.

What system/motherboard is this? Did you install the Intel chipset drivers after going to 8.1? Also any USB 3.0 driver (from Intel or the device mfr). If it's an Asus motherboard, you might read through this article: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/usbcoreblog/archive/2013/10/19/help-after-installing-windows-8-1-the-superspeed-ports-of-my-asus-system-don-t-work.aspx

Hi!
It is a HP ProDesk 490 G1 Microtower PC Workstation with an Intel Chipset.
I have made:
- a BIOS Update,
- than made a fresh installation of Windows 8.1 64 Bit Pro.
- Installed every driver, provided by the manufactorer h20565.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/readIndex?sp4ts.oid=6559742&swLangOid=18&swEnvOid=4158
- Installed every Windows Update
- Tried to install the camera - still no luck
When installing the Intelchipset drivers from the HP homepage, there are no USB 3.0 Drivers included, since they are build in the windows 8.1 System. At least that is, what Intel says. They provide a USB 3.0 Driver for windows 7, but this won't work for windows 8.1. (Installation won't even start)
A Hardware Diagnose Tool says, that on my system there is no USB 3.0 Support, although there are definately 4 x USB 3.0 Interfaces on my PC - 2 on the front, 2 on the back. (Blue with "SS"-Symbol)
The camera itself works by the way. We have tested it on a Dell PC with windows 8.1 and on exactly the same HP-workstation-model with a windows 7 with upgraded Intel-USB 3.0 drivers.
I have contacted the HP Support, but unfortunately this takes very much time...
Greetings
Michael
