What do I need to Download non-commercial Intel C++ compiler for Linux?

I have been pursuing this for a long time http://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/showthread.php?t=68795 (I am "nweissma") and am just now being told that I have been posting on the wrong forum (that I should post in the instant forum. This reminds of an old joke about a psychiatrist who does not speak english... but i digress)

To the quick: from what I am reading on the Intel website, I should be eligible to download the non-commercial, unsupported Intel C++ compiler for Linux. But all attempts toprocure a "license key" and "support account"have led to dead ends.

So, what do I need to do and how do i do it? (I have Intel hardware, not software.)

I forgot to mention that you need to enter your e-mail address in the link provided in previous follow up, along with your country name and you will be provided with a link to download the product and a serial number. You will also receive an e-mail with same information and a license file.

I don't see any non commercial request with your e-mail address.

I have followed your instructions exactly. The window following the entry of email and country states: "Problems with your account are preventing us from completing you request." (i would attach a print screen of this window but i don't see how to add an attachment to posts).

I have been doing this for a long time; I stated this in the previous forum. Should i just capitulate?

I am not sure what the issue is.

I went to the link I provided you, entered your e-mail address and chose a country and on submit was provided a serial number and links to download the compiler.

I have send you the same information using e-mail. (serial number, license file, links to download.)

If this is not the issue and it is something else, please describe the issue in detail here.

perhaps this is a semantical problem! I received the email that you sent me -- ManyThanks; *I* was not able to get this far no matter whose instructions I was following-- but the email reads, "Thank you for registering the Intel C++ Compiler Professional Edition for Linux*. " Is "Professional Edition" the $free (unemployed, and $$ is tight -- especially $600!!),non-commercial version that I have been looking for?

{btw, is it possible to configure my forum profile to effect receiving email notification when someone posts to my thread?}
