Can we get a definitive answer on these questions so I can give people a clue what they can do with their systems?
Does the TVWizard work on GM965/G35 only, or does it cover G965 as well? G33?
Does it work with SDVO DVI or HDMI, or is it purely over component analog SDVO connections? VGA?
Does itoffer overscan correction? On HDMI or component or both? The release notes from 15.6 claim to have "resolved" the TVWizard Bug where the Adjust Screen Size +/- buttons did not work, but the Resolution Description sounds suspiciouslylike "remove the feature". Is that what happened? What of Display1_AddUnderscanPercentageHDMI in the registry? According to those who have tried it, it doesn't seem to work at all either. Is there currently a way to compensate for overscan on HDMI with Intel graphics?
I ask these questions not to be annoying, but because with the advent of integrated HDMI boards (the Gigabyte GA-G33M-S2H, the Shuttle SG33G5) and the older Prolink ADD2 card, we're starting to seea lot of home theater enthusiasts trying these boards out and getting frustrated with the lack of support for their chipset and lack of even a basic document indicatingwhatis supposed to work. The general trendis to move to a discrete ATI or Nvidia board due to ease of use, and some are RMAing the motherboard or PC.
The G965 family is very capable ofmedia stuff (at least nominally), and the G3x seems to be moving in that direction. You guys shouldn't have tolose customers over this. I think the biggest gap is that no one knows what's supported and what's not. The TVWizard just shows up as part of the graphics drivers and often just goes unused.
I'm heavy on the Rah Rah for Intel's chips in this space, but more often than not lately I'm finding myself using the words "I don't know" when asked about IGP HDMI capabilities.
Can anyone help? I'd like to see this working and am willing to dedicate time and effort to it without the expectation of reward or even thanks if I can just get a decent long-term communication path to Someone In The Know.

HDMI output is achieved by 3rd party components connected by means of the SDVO interface. Intel has less control over the implementation and specific features of those HDMI components than it would have if it had integrated such I/O drivers into their chipsets. The vast amount of 3rd party HDMI transmitters and intel chipsets already results in a combinatorical explosion of configurations for which I do not see an appropriate certification program in place. Still intel decided to be very restrictive with the SDVO information (click).
However I can see the fruits of this development. Even intel's OSS group has severe problems with HDMI output (whether it be TV oder external computer display). Currently I count 9 open bugs in the linux drivers and I do not see much progress going on (click).
Specifically notebooks and externel displays (HP w2207h, w2408h) are increasingly enquipped with HDMI outputs. That means HDMI problems are not limited to TV experience, but also to general purpose notebook usage.
