As far as I konw, in order to use some UI elements, you must first drag a List block element to the desired position in the layout. The slider, checkbox and other UI elements can only be inserted into the List block element at this time.

As Hamilton correctly points out, Framework 7 is very sensitive to the order in which you apply elements. For simplicity sake, I recommend you use Bootstrap, it is the easiest to use and apply. Framework 7 takes a lot of time to learn.

I did try it with a List Block element. It would show in the code but not in DESIGN. I only tried the Media Items widget.
