Hi Guys,

I followed the guide to setup and use the Xeon phi. Got it all working and now i am able to transfer files directly to the Phi. Only thing now is im stuck on the SSH command into the phi. So using putty and WSCP, with putty using the ssh mic0 command it flags and says

The authenticity of host 'mic0 (192.168.1.100)' can't be established.

then it says

ECDSA key fingerprint is SHA256:JnEfAREVvoAtX99hqvAmnXCX9YtV+EaskvfGZCKQBFE.
Are you sure you want to continue connecting (yes/no)? yes
Warning: Permanently added 'mic0,192.168.1.100' (ECDSA) to the list of known hosts.

it now asking for a password, which I dont remember setting one up for root. I tried all the combinations and says incorrect password. Ive  hit enter with a blank password as well. I thought the public key gen was meant to allow you to have root access with no password?

Have I missed a step somewhere?

thanks

Hello,

Section 2.5 in the readme file discusses about ssh. Please take a look at http://registrationcenter.intel.com/irc_nas/7689/readme.txt

Thanks
