Just purchased Intel Parallel Studio, and was emailed a .lic file. I cannot find any instructions on what to do with the .lic file --- is this documented anywhere? I saw one mention to store the file in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Intel\Licenses, is that it?
Thanks!

In the end of the registration email, following is mentioned:
"MANUAL LICENSE FILE INSTALLATION
For your convenience, your license file has been sent to you (*.lic file) as an attachment to this email. Although the product installer will automatically obtain and install this license file for you, it does require an Internet connection. If you do not have an Internet connection or otherwise wish to manually install the license file you will be asked to provide the name of this license file, including directory or filename. For example: for Windows "C:Program FilesCommon FilesIntelLicensesw_cc_cd_eval.lic" or Linux "/opt/intel/licenses/wl_cc_cd_eval.lic" . Do not change the file name as the ".lic" extension is critical. "
During actication stage of installation, there're alternative ways for license check, either by serial number or manually provided license file. You can have a check whether this could help resolve your problem.
