We are evaluating 2018 XE but I can't install it on my laptop system (OSX with VM) on an other system we can install the product.
The installer starts & extracts the files, and then just ends with a dialog stating: there was a problem...
Well, what now?

Hello Robert,
We need the install logs to investigate further. Now, just to be sure, your base system is OSX and you are installing on an OS inside a VM? Or are you installing PSXE on OSX which is running in a VM?
Thanks,
Shailen.

Hi Shailen, yes, my base system is OSX and I'm running Windows-10 in a Parallels VM. I'm installing PSXE for Windows, inside the VM.
Where do I find the install logs?

Ok, the problem seems to be that extracting the temporary files to a shared folder of the VM isn't working. If I extract the files to c:\ which goes directly into a VM-HDD file, things work.
Maybe you can add this to the installation notes.
