x86 vs Native Activity

Hi!

When I start a new project in Visual Studio (with INDE installed) I can choose between a x86 project and a Native Activity project for Android. What is the difference between those two? Am I able to run a x86 Native Project on an ARM based phone? It confuses me since you can change the target architecture and platform toolset in the properties window in an x86 Native project to ARM platforms, but when I run the app on an ARM device it crashes (so I suspect that an x86 project only works on Intel Atom processors.. but I'm not sure about it since the ARM is an option in the properties window). Hope my question makes sense ;)

Thanks for help, Marco
