Hello everyone,
I'm looking for an Intel VROC CLI v6.0.0.x. I found a 6.1.0.x from the Intel site that works but only if I install the corresponding version of SW. We sell our computer embedded in our products and am trying to avoid needing to do a SW upgrade in the field in order to get the CLI working for monitoring purposes. Our products are air gapped so SW upgrades can get quite complicated. I have checked with the hardware vendor and they do not include the CLI in their SW/Driver packages. Their support suggested I reach out to Intel directly so here I am. I haven't had any luck Googling for it either.

Hi Simon,
Custom built system using Super Micro X11SPL-F with either Xeon 5222 or 6246 processor. VROC key not required since we use SATA SSDs. 4x RAID10.

Hi Pavelsmrz,
Greetings!!
To better assist you with your request for Intel VROC CLI v6.0.0.x, could you please help us with the following information:
- Exact VROC version currently installed on your system (e.g., 6.0.0.x).
- Operating system version and build (e.g., Windows/Linux version).
- Do you currently have any version of the CLI installed, and if so, what issues are you facing with it?
- Do you have any existing VROC software package files or install media that were originally provided by the vendor?
- Is this request specific to a single product deployment, or do you need a solution for multiple systems in the field?

Sorry about the delayed reply. Emails are getting flagged as spam. Working on fixing that with MS Defender.
- Exact VROC version currently installed on your system (e.g., 6.0.0.x).
- Intel VROC SW: 6.0.0.1356
- Intel VROC Driver: 6.0.0.1342
- Intel ISDI: 6.0.0.1356
- Intel VROC OPROM driver: Varies based on BIOS version pre-loaded on motherboard but 8.0.0.4006 is on my dev system.
- Operating system version and build (e.g., Windows/Linux version).
- Windows 10 1809 LTSC 10.0.17763
- Do you currently have any version of the CLI installed, and if so, what issues are you facing with it?
- CLI: 6.1.0.1236 runs without error but returns no results to the Command Prompt Windows. Same results in PowerShell. It will not provide RAID status and drive status, nor SW versions.
- If I upgrade the Intel VROC SW and driver to 6.1.0.1247 then the 6.1.0.1236 CLI correctly returns the system information.
- If I upgrade the Intel VROC SW and driver to 7.70.1273 then the CLI in that package also returns the system information.
- Do you have any existing VROC software package files or install media that were originally provided by the vendor?
- Yes but the CLI is not included.
- Is this request specific to a single product deployment, or do you need a solution for multiple systems in the field?
- I need the simplest solution that can be deployed to air gapped (no internet) computers. Copying a CLI exe to the system is trivial but a SW upgrade will require significantly more effort with test report and coordination with other SW and add tool downtime for our customers so the change will need to be coordinated with other changes.

Hello pavelsmrz,
Thank you for sharing the details with us. Upon further review we found that 6.0.0.1356 is an OEM version of Intel VROC SW. Since you purchased this supermicro server to embed into your product and need 6.0.01356 SW's VROC CLI for windows version and they will have it. The version 6.1.0.1247 or 7.70.1273 are Intel Specific version of VROC Software and it has the VROC CLI for Windows.

Hi Simon,
Thank you for the help with the CLI version, however Super Micro does not have 6.0.0.1356 CLI. The removed the CLI in the software/driver download. They recommended I contact Intel directly. Hope you can help with the 6.0.0.1356 CLI.

6.0.0.1356 is the SW version. The CLI version does not always share the same version so the CLI version may be slightly different. Is there any 6.0.0.xxxx CLI that you can provide?
