hello

I am looking to create 2 RAID volumes in the Intel C621A controller.

I need to create one RAID 1 Volume from 2 SSD Drives for the Operating System (MS Windows) and the second volume RAID 10 from 4 x 16TB SATA Drives

is that possible? and if yes, can both volumes created in BIOS or?

please let me know

hello

thank you for the reply

as mentioned before, the operating system will be Microsoft Windows 11 Pro.

we want that the operating system to be installed on a mirror of SATA-3 SSD drives

this is normal and can be done.

my question was in case we want also to create a second volume with other 4 x 16TB SATA Drives in RAID 10

normally from the readings it looks like it can be done, but wanted just to be sure about it

mainboard we will be using is Supermicro X13SAE-F which features

8 SATA (6Gbps) via Intel® W680; RAID 0/ 1/ 5/ 10 support

the SSD drives might be Micron 5400 PRO 480GB, SATA, 2.5"

and the HDD will be WD/HGST 3.5"16TB SATA 6Gb/s7.2K RPM512M
