AC 7260 drops internet access when connected to tplink router

I have a b/g/n tplink wireless router set up with WPA2 security. I have several devices connected to it. The laptops (all win7) have b/g/n network cards. However, when I connect the problem laptop (let's label it the ASUS, it has an Intel dual band AC 7260 network card, win8.1) to the network, the ASUS gets internet access for a few seconds, then stops working. It still shows I am connected with internet access, but I cannot access any websites. I have tried to disable U-APSD support (per a previous suggestion), but it seems to not work. Should I just buy a USB network adapter and use that? Any help would be greatly appreciated

I suggest making sure it is not a software issue by using a different browser or ping the websites you do not seem to be able to access. A firewall or security software may also interfere with the connection, try disable it for a moment for testing purposes.

You may verify if you need to use specific DNS settings in this system which may be in use by the other systems.

It is also recommended to consider if a firmware upgrade for your router has a chance to solve your issue due to compatibility.

Check the security encryption settings in both the computer wireless profile and the router. Additional security settings on the router may limit the connection or block internet access to specific sites.
