AX 200 Not Detected Properly

I have an Intel AX 200 WiFi card that doesn't show up in my Device Manager under "Network Adapters". Instead, it shows up under "Other Devices" as "Network Controller" with a small warning sign next to it. Interestingly, the Bluetooth drivers show up perfectly fine under network adapters. For context, I have an Aorus B550 ELITE AX V2 motherboard with Windows 11 installed. Here are the steps I've used to attempt to fix it:

Step 1:

Did the obvious "Search automatically for drivers", didn't work. Next, I did "Browse my computer for drivers" > "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer" > "Network Adapters" > "Intel". I wasn't exactly sure what to look for here, but I was looking for something contained "AX200" or the latest version of the drivers for that card, which is 23.120.0, which I didn't find

Step 2:

I downloaded the most recent WiFi drivers on to a flash drive and put it into my computer. I ran the ".exe" file multiple times and rebooted. I tried running it as administrator once as well, and that didn't seem to change anything.

Step 3:

This time, I found a bare driver file(not ".exe" like the original installer from step 1). I extracted the driver ".zip" and tried to update it. Unfortunately, it didn't work. Also, I asked ChatGPT (may have been a mistake) and it told me that the extracted driver file should contain ".dll", ".sys", ".dat", and .inf files, and that the driver should have multiple subfolders. But whenever I opened extracted file (and the unextracted ".zip" file), there was only one subfolder named "NonIntelLicenses" and there was no ".inf" files, only ".dll", ".sys", and ".dat". Really not sure about this one, because I downloaded the files straight off the Intel website.

That's all I've really done so far. I've done a pretty good amount of research, and that's all I can find. It's very possible I made a super small mistake that set me completely off course, like being wrong about what WiFi card I have or something. I'm not an expert on this stuff, so I'd appreciate any help.

Hello pendelux,

It appears that you're facing issues with your Wi-Fi card as it doesn't show up on the Network Adapters. For me to properly address your concern, please share the information below.

1. When did it start to happen?

2. Do you remember if this issue happened after a new OS update or Wireless driver update?

3. Were you able to have wireless connection in a normal/expected performance before?

4. Is this the original adapter that came pre-installed in your system, or have you changed/installed a new adapter recently?

5. Kindly share a screenshot of the error message on the Device Manager.

Additionally, to have a better understanding of your system configuration and components please generate System Support Utility (SSU) report. Please follow instructions here and send the report - How to get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows*

I hope to hear from you soon.
