Hello @Olexander

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

We understand that you are experiencing this "Wireless protocol auto-switching behavior" running Windows* 11.

It is worth mentioning that Intel® must validate the Operating System (OS) prior to the OS release and Windows* 11 has not been officially released yet.

Based on the article Supported Windows Operating Systems for Intel® Wireless Products and the Release Notes for Intel® Wi-Fi 6 AX201 (Gig+), at this point, only Windows® 10 is supported. Intel will update the websites accordingly as soon as validation on Windows* 11 progresses.

Windows* 11 is a "BETA or Insider* Preview" and these versions are created for testing and we cannot guarantee its proper functionality and the general recommendation is to report any issue related to it to Microsoft® since this is an open software testing program by Microsoft.

Having said that, we recommend contacting Microsoft* Support and report this behavior to their team or test with one of the stable and official Windows® 10 releases.

Best regards,

Hi @AndrewG_Intel . It has been 5 months since the problem was reported. Multiple driver updates have been released including official support for Windows 11, but the issue is still unresolved. https://i.imgur.com/2GcMfP7.png  Could you please notify the developers of this issue?

I installed the driver update today (22.70.0.6 https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/19351/windows-10-wi-fi-drivers-for-intel-wireless-adapters.html). The list of changes mentioned support for Windows 11. Would you please, inform the developers about the issue described above instead of posting statements about the unsupported operating system? As I wrote above, absolutely identical problem was in Windows 10.

Seems to be fixed in the latest Windows 11 build (22449) for insiders. I'll keep watching

Eh, still not fixed. The issue did not appear for 2 days. But today WIFI again connected through AC instead of AX.

Это та же проблема, что и тут:

https://community.intel.com/t5/Wireless/AX-still-not-working-in-Russia-on-AX200-and-AX201/m-p/1313753#M37640

https://community.intel.com/t5/Wireless/After-installing-the-22-40-driver-there-was-no-AX-mode-support/m-p/1313750#M37639

I think these are different issues. And previously the connection was always on AX, but then at some driver update everything went wrong. One week the adapter can work constantly on AX, then a week on AC. I can't figure out why it works that way, but I know for sure it's the drivers update caused it.
