AX210 has region lock out

We purchased AX210 to used in out robots(Ubuntu 20.04 ARM64). They works fine in China. See picture in attachment.

But when the exported to Taiwan. AX210 sets itself to US and stops working(can't scan or connect).

Region Info shows itself in US

$ iw reg get
global
country 00: DFS-UNSET
...

phy#0 (self-managed)
country US: DFS-UNSET
...

After googling, I found it uses WIFI beacon packages to determine its region and limits its signal power and prohibit certain bands.

But why it stop working completely when in US?

Upon checking, It's crucial to remember that different areas have varied wireless device laws, and using a device that isn't compatible can cause issues. Usually, you may check the product specs or get in touch with the computer maker to confirm this.


To further check into this, may I know the details to the following:


  • My I know the make and model of your system?
  • What current wireless driver version do you have?
