Another Intel 6300 Disconnecting Thread...

Hello!

I have an 2x Intel 6300 cards, both using the latest drivers 15.6.1 on Win7 x64. They both randomly go to limited or no connectivity and the connection must be restarted. Every time a new driver is released, I think to myself, finally this issue is resolved. On some older drivers I would have high latency with loading sites on a 105Mbps connection, and other drivers like the newest, the connection will go to limited connectivity from time to time. I think to myself this card has been around nearly two years, certainly a driver should be stable by now!

I would like to try every driver there is starting with the newest and working backwards, but I cannot seem to find all versions on the Intel website. I'm looking for the driver only, not the PROSet Utility. Does anyone know where such a cache of drivers would exist? Older versions seem to be hard to find for some reason.

Perhaps the drivers posted on this article may help you. Just check if the download applies to your wireless adapter model at the end of the respective page:

Hello Brian!

I apologize for the issue you have.

You may want to use WPA(2)-AES for the encryption. Make sure the router uses this setting if possible and not shared like TKIP+AES. We also recommend other settings for 802.11n connectivity:

Data rate will not exceed 54 Mbps when WEP or TKIP encryption is configured

How do I improve my 802.11n wireless performance?

You may also try restarting the network devices (modem and/or router). A firmware update for the router may help.

I appreciate the help, but it's not my router settings. I'm a network technician for Comcast, and have a Cisco EA6500 router using the 5Ghz band set to WPA2-AES. The situation isn't more ideal.

Here are the router settings:

This issue has persisted through an EA4500, and an EA6500 router. It is always the drivers. Once a new driver is available, it comes with it's own issues. It did not lose connectivity with older drivers. I simply asked where are the older drivers.
