Ax200 Losing Connection, NO Internet Access since 22.10.0.7 Install

Any help appreciated...

Been using the same Wifi card (Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160MHz) for a couple of months no major issues.

Did a driver update to  this AM 22.10.0.7 this was installed via the Driver and Support Assistant.

Since the install have not been able to connect to the internet and keep on getting a NO INTERNET ACCESS error on both IPv4 and Ipv6

I have tried to roll back the driver and that's not an option, when I try and install an earlier version tells me that is not possible either.

I know the connection is good to the router as I can connect the same PC via a USB dongle, slow but connects.

I have done a Network reset, and re-booted the Router but to no avail.

Any help appreciated.

Andy

I've had exactly the same issue with the latest driver.

Restetting network adaptor did not fix.

Nor did the usual commands..

ipconfig /release

 ipconfig /flushdns

 ipconfig /renew

 netsh int ip reset

 netsh winsock

Finally managed to resolve it by repeatedly removing the device and software until it rolled back to the initial driver the laptop had installed. After a few reboots it seems stable.. I don't dare to update it again.

I thought I would try my "old" card, similar type but about 12 mths old.

Swapped it and no issue when I installed the updated drivers.

Really strange why the driver would work this card and not the other one, as they are identical.

Hello all

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

It is worth mentioning that the driver or software for your Intel® component might have been changed or replaced by the computer manufacturer. For this reason, we recommend working with your computer manufacturer before installing our generic driver so you don't lose features or customizations.

@AndyH, in order to check this further, could you please provide the following information?

1- We understand that you have integrated in the system the Intel® Wi-Fi 6 AX200 adapter? Is this correct?

Also, could you please confirm what the model of the "old wireless card" is? (the one you mentioned is working fine). Is the "old wireless card" the original one that came pre-installed in your system? Please provide more details.

2- Is there any specific error code or message in Device Manager? Right-click on the Wireless adapter, click on "Properties" and then click on the "General" tab and check under "Device status".

3- Have you checked if this issue happens on different networks? Is this issue happening at home, office environment, or both?

4- Have you tried a different router or Access point for testing purposes? Maybe one that is AX compatible?

5- Router/Access point brand and model:

Also, please run the Intel® System Support Utility (Intel® SSU) and attach the full report (.txt file) to this thread to gather more details about your system.

  • Download the Intel® SSU and save the application on your computer
  • Open the application, check the "Everything" checkbox, and click "Scan" to see the system and device information. The Intel® SSU defaults to the "Summary View" on the output screen following the scan. Click the menu where it says "Summary" to change to "Detailed View".
  • To save your scan, click Next and click Save.

Note: To upload and attach a file, use the "Drag and drop here or browse files to attach" option below the response textbox.

Hello @Bradden

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback. We are glad to know that you managed to resolve the issue.

Hello @twidantara

Microsoft® Surface devices are usually very customized devices and hence, considered a closed-platform.

The driver or software for your Intel® component might have been changed or replaced by the computer manufacturer. For this reason, we recommend working with your computer manufacturer before installing our generic driver so you don't lose features or customizations.

Actually, Microsoft* provides the drivers as a "bundled package". We recommend using the drivers provided by Microsoft®. Here is the Surface Go 2 Drivers and Firmware link*.

Everyone's situation and environment are unique so if you need further assistance, we kindly recommend creating a new thread to isolate your case and system configuration. Please make sure you add the information about the system model and specs, and detailed information about the problem that you are having, so we can better assist you.

Thank you all for your understanding.

Best regards,

I'm running an old driver more so any data would be pointless. I've no intention of updating drivers at this time. Thanks

Hello @AndyH

We have not heard back from you so we will proceed to close this thread now.

Based on your posts, it seems that you have installed the Intel® Wi-Fi 6 AX200 on the system.

When the end-user installs a wireless card on a system that did not come with it from the factory, this is what we call "Wireless Integration" and it may cause connection issues or software-hardware errors.

Having said that and considering that it is working with the "old card" our recommendation is to check this further with your computer manufacturer to check details about compatibility and further advice on this matter.

For more information please review the following links:

If you need any additional information, please submit a new question as this thread will no longer be monitored.
