Hi,
I am running a corporate-managed Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 5 with an Intel Core ultra 7 165U and an Intel WiFi 6E AX211 network adapter. After the update to 24.20.0.3, bluetooth audio (mic and sound) completely stopped working for my headset. The same headset works without issue on another laptop (SP7 running an intel CPU, and my phone), and worked without issue before the driver update. Reboots and re-pairing did not solve the issue. The problem is at the OS level. Has anyone else faced this issue?

Hello TrumanKing,
Thank you for posting on Intel Community Forum.
To effectively address the issue, kindly share the information below.
1. Have you tried using the OEM driver 23.170.0.3?
2. What is the last known working driver version?
3. Have you tried rolling back to the previous driver?
4. Are you seeing any error message on Device manager? Kindly share a screenshot.
5. What is the full model of your headset?
I look forward to your response.

Hi @JedG_Intel , @JeanetteC_Intel
Is this already tracked as an issue with this driver, or do we need to take some actions to file it?
I have run into mic issue with this driver Intel Wireless Bluetooth 24.20.0.3, which I could resolve by :
- rolling back to 24.10.0.4 (11/10/2025)
- some folks around they confirmed that only rolling back to 23.170.0.3 solves it
More general issue is also tracked at microsoft: All bluetooth headset mic is not working with Window 11 - Microsoft Q&A

I can confirm that we also have run into this issue by installing the 24.20.0.3 update via Windows Update. It seems bugged
We also have the T14 Gen5 from Lenovo

Forgot to mention that rolling back to old driver solved the issue

I have the same problem.
Only BT-23.170.0-64UWD-Win10-Win11 works for me.
All version after doesn't work with my headset - Sony XM6.
The Bluetooth connection works, but no sound can be heard from the computer.
When I try to start a phone call in Teams, there's this static noise like in the old times.
Only after installing BT-23.170.0-64UWD-Win10-Win11 + reboot, I can use my headphones again.
Another annoying thing - after another reboot, for some reason, the version goes back to 24.20.0.3 so my headset doesn't work again.
I need to install the old driver + reboot.
Did you find the issue? Can it be fixed?
Thanks

I have the same issue with my Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds. I use a Lenovo X13 Gen5 with the AX211. As soon as I install the Bluetooth 24.20.0.3 driver, my earbuds connect but there's no sound and the microphone don't work. If I revert back to 24.10.0.4, it's fine. I tried the new one, 24.30.1.1 and the issue is the same. Also, I noticed that when the issue occurs, in device manager, I can see a new device called "HID Sensor Collection" over the "HID Sensor Collection V2" and there's a yellow exclamation mark on it.

Is it possible that on version 24.20, some Audio LE feature were enabled?
