Bluetooth drivers not working in Windows-10 ( 7260 Wifi )

Hello,

I have been plagued with bluetooth driver problems with the Intel Wifi combo cards.

( 7260 and 3165 )

I can not seem to get bluetooth to work with these wifi cards on some of my HP Pavillion notebooks.

However on other identical HP notebooks that I have bluetooth works. Wifi works just not bluetooth.

I have installed an optional inexpensive USB bluetooth adapter ( IOgear USB adapter ) into my notebooks and bluetooth works fine.

I was as easy as plug-and-play

No divers needed to install.

Why can't Intel Wifi/bluetooth combo cards be this easy to install?

Why doesn't Intel provide bluetooth drivers to Microsoft so users don't have to install drivers themselves?

So I know that bluetooth works on my Windows 10 notebooks. Just not with the Intel 7260 and 3165 wifi combo cards.

Can Intel provide drivers that work to Microsoft?....

alex003,

We will be more than glad to help you, and in order to do so, could you provide in details what type of issues you are experiencing with your Bluetooth*?

What driver version are you using for each of these adapters?

Are these wireless adapters installed by factory or were they installed later?

I have the Windows-10 64bit installed

I have Intel 7260-ac and Intel 3165-ac Wifi cards ( Add-ons )

I swapped out my OEM HP Wifi cards for the Intel WiFi / Bluetooth combo cards.

I was able to get bluetooth to work on some of my pavilion notebooks however does not work on other pavilion noteboks

I don't know why.....

Intel bluetooth service will not start under Windows Services.

These are clean installs of Windows-10 computers.

It is not a computer bios issue.

It is an Intel Bluetooth driver issue.

I was able to get Bluetooth to work using a USB adapter ( IOgear Bluetooth USB adapter )

Bluetooth service worked Out-of-the-box Vanilla with the IOgear bluetooth adapter.

The Problem is the Intel Bluetooth drivers.....

Intel Bluetooth service will not start in control panel/Windows Services.

Intel does not support integration which is when the original wireless adapter is replaced by another one. You can find more details on this matter by accessing this link: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking/000005687.html?wapkw=regulatory+information+regarding+hardware+installation Regulatory Information Regarding Hardware Installation or Upgrade for... In cases like this we recommend that you engage the OEM: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/topics/OEMs.html Computer Manufacturer Support Websites in order to check if they have any customized drivers as they are the only one entitled to tell which adapter is right for your system regarding full compatibility. Usually, Windows®10 brings its own inbox drivers. Sometimes, during the installation, if the Bluetooth* drivers are not compatible with Windows®10 it will be deleted during the update

On our best effort to assist you with this, please check the following:

1. Go to the Control Panel. Click "Hardware and Sound" and "Bluetooth Devices".

2. Select the device that's not working and click "Remove".

3. Click "Add" and press the reset button on the device.

4. Select "My device is set up and ready to be found" check box and click "Next".

5. When the Bluetooth device is found, select it, click "Next" and follow the rest of the wizard.

Note: If the Bluetooth device is not found, repeat the steps from 1 to 4.
