Hello FDLuca,

Thank you for posting on the Intel️® communities. We would be more than glad to help you.

To better assist you, please provide me with the following:

  • Is this a laptop or desktop system?
  • Is this a new computer? If so, have checked with your system's OEM for validated drivers or support on known issues related to the symptoms experienced.
  • Were you able to have your Bluetooth connection before?
  • Is this the original adapter that came pre-installed in your system or have you changed/installed a new adapter recently?
  • We also would like you to share the outcome for the following command to the terminal and share with us the outcome:
    • $ hostnamectl -> looking for the Kernel version you are using.
    • hciconfig -a -> checking if the adapter is identified
    • hciconfig -> shows if the adapter is down
    • If no details are being shared by the "hciconfig" commands. Test lsusb | grep 8087 -> Identifies if the adapter is identified.

Best regards,

Hello FDLuca,

Thanks for the information provided.

We understand that you are having issues with this integration and you have tried several troubleshooting steps. In this case, it is worth mentioning that when a wireless integration is made, it is important to check for compatibility with the motherboard manufacturer, as there could be certain cards that will not work with the system. In this case, the recommendation is to check with them for assistance with the integration.

Since the lsusb | grep 8087 doesn't provide any output, this implies that the adapter is not identified, and you should check with the system manufacturer and consult whether the adapter is integrated properly.

It is also important to understand that it may not work due to hardware or software compatibility issues or dependencies.

For further information, you can take a look at our article: "Regulatory Information Regarding Wireless Hardware Installation or Upgrade."

Good morning comrade, thanks for your help, due to my inexperience and lack of continuity due to years of not building computers, I didn't notice that the board needed power for bluetooth (connection on the USB motherboard) at the moment it's working perfectly, thank you for your patience.

thank you very much.

Hello FDLuca,

We are glad to hear that everything is working fine. However, we recommend you contact your motherboard manufacturer to gather the proper integration steps to properly install the wireless card into your motherboard.

Regardless we appreciate you for taking the time to share this fix, and hopefully, it may help other community members experiencing similar behavior. Since the thread is now solved, we will proceed to close it. Please keep in mind that this thread will no longer be monitored by Intel. Thank you for your understanding.
