CENTRINO WIRELESS N1030 ADAPTER NOT WORKING ON DN2800MT DESKTOP BOARD

Jump to solution

Hello friends,

I have installed a HALF MINI PCI-E CENTRINO WIRELESS N 1030 ADAPTER ON AN INTEL DN2800MT, NM10 CHIPSET, MINI ITX DESKTOP BOARD..RUNNING WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE..The issue is that the hardware is showing with a yellow mark in the device manager and the properties says the device could not be started..First I installed the drivers from the Resources CD and then from Intel Site..After the drivers load the a message is shown saying the drivers could not be installed..Device will not work properly..

To solve the issue I did

Uninstall and re-install hardware manually from the board as well as from the device mgr

re-install drivers old as well as new..Did a diagnostics too but the device is not available..There is no issue of connection as the hardware is not getting installed in the first place..Nothing seems to work.. I am at the point of frustration..please help me..

Thanks and regards...

Hello Deep84.

I am sorry to know about the issue you have.

Please note that Intel Wireless Adapters such as the Intel® Centrino Wireless-N 1030 are meant to be professionally installed by Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) technicians on certified systems only due to different regulations explained in the article below.

For desktop systems we recommend the Intel® Centrino Wireless-N 2200 for Desktop or Intel® Centrino Advanced-N 6205 for Desktop.
