Hi!
Today it worked for almost 5 hours.
Then the connection was dropped and Windows 8 reported "limited" connectivity.
I use the latest drivers.
Got Events 8000, 5002, 5005 and 5070 errors which are not explained as :
The description for Event ID 5002 from source NETwNe64 cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.
The following information was included with the event:
\Device\NDMP59
Intel(R) Centrino(R) Ultimate-N 6300 AGN
The specified resource type cannot be found in the image file
If you have a whip please convene you developer team and harass them to solve this problem.
Thanks!

Joe,
How is it possible that Intel cannot provide a new driver after half a year with problems.
Please escalte this problem as a PRIO 1 case.

In the past week I've started to suffer massively with disconnection/reconnection issues; it makes streaming any content over the internet (and even some browsing) completely impossible. I'm on Windows 8.1 64 Bit, and trying to roll back to old versions of the driver haven't been fruitful, so I'm literally stuck with it.
Other than possibly some Windows updates, I haven't made any changes to the machine recently. Could there be any Windows updates triggering this problem?
Given that this issue seems to have been around for nearly a year now, surely Intel must be able to acknowledge the problem and engineer a fix?
Cheers,
Chris.

Hi Guys!
Created this account just to post this.
I was having the same problem with drop outs. they were probably occuring every 5 minutes and a bit more often.
I installed the 14.0.2.2 version for Win 7 64-bit on my Win 8.1 64-bit system and I've been running OK for well over an hour now. Tried stressing the card to see if it would drop it like it did before (Needing a disable/enable of the adapter) but it's all good.
I'm using an Alienware M17x R3

Some other things to note.
The initial driver that installed from my base windows 8.1 installation worked. However my internet was only running about 0.3mbps on my alienware and about 35mbps on every other device in the house. The latest driver fixed my speed issue but caused the drop out problems mentioned here in the thread. This Old driver seems to have done the trick
Hopefully Joe can provide a link to download it until a fixed driver is released at a later date.
otherwise here is the link to get the driver from
http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/Product/alienware-m17x-r3 http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/Product/alienware-m17x-r3#
(Hope im not breaking any rules by posting this)
Initial driver date for 6300n = 25/03 (i think)

So I'm guessing we're still in a holding pattern on this... a year and a half or so later? Here's what I can provide as far as details, at least for my situation:
1. The issue appears to happen most of the time when the card is transmitting. If I leave a ping -t running in a window to my default gateway, I can watch it pinging repeatedly and then dropping when I click a link on a site. Not every time, mind you -- but at least once every 30-60 minutes.
2. When this happens, an Event ID 5002 is written to the event log every time. ETwNe64 / The specified resource type cannot be found in the image file.
3. If allowed to sit for about a minute, the mark will show over the wireless icon for Windows 8. Right-clicking and troubleshooting will fix automatically, with the statement that "The default gateway was not available (Fixed)".
4. The connection doesn't completely drop every time. Occasionally when clicking a link, the ping response will time out 2-4 times and then start communicating again. However, if "General failure" appears on the ping window, the connection is totally gone and won't come back.
5. Completely removing the driver and installing the newest version does not fix the issue permanently -- but it DOES allow me to reconnect without power cycling, which indicates that this is a software problem, not a hardware one.
6. Using a USB wireless adapter and disabling the onboard one OR using a hard-wired Ethernet cable eliminates any dropouts.
I am using a Samsung Series 9 which is fairly difficult to open to swap the physical card, so I'm trying to avoid doing that unless I absolutely have to.

I was having the exact same issue
Download the 14.0.2.2 from here

Hello - Unfortunately, this does not resolve for me on my Samsung Series 9 or for my roommate's Asus Zenbook, both of which have the same wireless card. Still dropping or getting high latency -- though admittedly it is not AS bad as it was (we'll see how it goes in a little while). I'd say I've gone from 30% packet loss at the worst times to maybe 2%.
This screenshot is from using the 16.6.0 update:

This screenshot is using the Alienware driver posted above:
http://www.mythlabb.com/Personal/latency2.JPG http://www.mythlabb.com/Personal/latency2.JPG
As you can see, a pretty big difference, but not a solution.

Just starting having issues connecting and updated the driver, still having issues. I have an HP EliteBook 8540 with the Intel(R) Centrino(R) Ultimate-N 6300 AGN.
It was connecting then immediately dropping the connection. I updated the driver, still doing the same thing. All my wireless devices, tablets, cell phones, two other laptops (Both Dell with the Intel(R) Centrino(R) Wireless-N 1030 adapter) and all of them are not having any issues at all. Firewall is off. It will connect then drop, reconnect, then drop. Never getting internet connection.
Looking at the logs on the WAP, its showing its connecting then dropping then reconnecting. I dropped the WPA2 requirements, still same issue.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Hi Joe,
I was experiencing the same problems as described by everybody else here.
The update from the 25th of March has caused the problem to become less frequent however it is still happening. Will there be a further update to fully correct the problem?
Thank You

Hi all,
I am seing the same things. Tried with several different versions of the driver - all on Windows 7, 64 bits on my Dell Lattitude E6420 with intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 AGN.
I can see the problem in the "Network tab" in Windows Task Manager as a dip in transferred data - in what should be a completely flat line from some HW that works with other NIC's.
Same problem is verified with "ping -t" - between a lot of 9,10,15 ms latencies I suddenly see 450 ms!
Using AirPCap I can see that just before the dip in transmission rate, the NIC is going down to less and less complex types of modulation (from MCS 7 downto 3). It would be a lot easier to read this, if only I could disable the "Short Guard Interval", as my AirPCap appears to only work with Long Guard Interval (took some time to figure that out).
So, the NIC appears to see a deteriorating signal and therefore decides to go for safer modulation-types.
After some time it goes up in speed - until it goes down again. This is repeated at rates of 10s to a minute.
Note that this happens in a VERY quiet environment for no appararent reason.
I also see that the NIC sends out power-save probes every 200 ms. I was able to get rid of that by selecting "Max Transmit Power" in the driver setup - but to no avail.
Best Regards
Klaus

We continue working on these issues; information such as the one KlausElk just shared could be valuable for out engineering department.
For those who were not able to fix the issue with the latest drivers, we are looking for volunteers willing to assist providing information and testing drivers. The people who would like to help with this task must be using our latest driver and still have connection drops. Please note these important considerations:
- Be a technical savvy person in wireless networking.
- Be willing to install/uninstall drivers and provide feedback.
- Have software skills. If possible, knowledgeable in software debugging.
In order to participate please send an e-mail to the Intel® Support Center indicating that you would like to contribute with driver testing or send me a private message with your contact information.

I have been experiencing various connection issues while using DELL and Lenovo laptops. The connection issues experienced are usually one of the following three.
1) Random disconnects,
2) Failure to connect after hibernation
3) Losing connectivity when roaming between Access Point's on the same network.
All of the laptops have the "Intel (R) Centrino(R) Ultimate-N 6300AGN" wireless adapter as reported from the device manager.
I have tried the latest drivers from Intel and from each of the manufacturers website all with different results but never fixing the issue. I chanced using one of the old drivers mentioned earlier in the thread and this has fixed all issue with both models of laptop. I look after about 100 of the DELL's.
1) Download the driver pack here.
http://downloads.dell.com/FOLDER02027225M/1/E5530-win7-A08-GGJRC.CAB http://downloads.dell.com/FOLDER02027225M/1/E5530-win7-A08-GGJRC.CAB
2) Extract the .CAB with 7zip
3) Direct Windows to use the driver located in the following folder. "\E5420-win7-A02-R308478\E5420\win7\x64\network\R292654\Drivers"
We are using Windows 7 Pro 64bit on all of our laptops. and the wireless infrastructure is RUCKUS

Hoping someone can help. I have a Dell M6700 with an Intel Ultimate 6300 AGN wireless card. Am trying to set up an HP Color Laserjet 3600dn printer and the Intel wireless card will not talk to the HP. It won't ping it, nor see the web interface on the HP at all. But when on wifi you can ping the rest of the network, internet, etc. When I switch over to the wired interface on the laptop I can ping the HP and connect to it and the rest of the network fine.
I'm really scratching my head here as the culprit seems to be the intel wireless card, but why it won't talk to the HP is a mystery.
Can anyone assist?
Mark
