Dear Intel Support Team,

I hope this message finds you well.

We are developing a custom board based on the NXP LX2160A processor and have integrated M.2 slots for WiFi/BT modules. We are planning to use the following Intel modules:

  1. WiFi/BT M.2 Module BE202.NGWG.NV
  2. WiFi/BT M.2 Module BE200.NGWG.NV

Our target system is running on Linux kernel version 5.10.35.

Could you please confirm if drivers are available for these modules on Linux 5.10.35? Additionally, if there are any specific configurations or steps required to ensure proper operation, please let us know.

Thank you for your support.

Hello Harisankar1601

After discussing your inquiry internally, we recommend installing the latest stable version of the mainline kernel, 6.9, from kernel.org, which includes the latest wireless firmware for the Intel BE200, version 89.

Hello Harisankar1601,

Thank you so much for patiently waiting on our response.

We wanted to inform you that the Intel wireless firmware and driver have a Linux kernel version dependency. And the Intel wireless firmware is part of the Linux kernel. To obtain the latest wireless firmware, please install the latest (and stable) version of the Linux kernel.

Furthermore, we would like to share with you our Linux Support for Intel® Wireless Adapters article for additional information.

Additionally, we highly advise checking with NXP to ensure full support for your integration.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Hello Harisankar1601,

Upon further investigation, here is the only information that we can provide you:

Please refer to this link: https://wireless.wiki.kernel.org/en/users/drivers/iwlwifi.

It seems that the only confirmed compatible driver kernel version for the Intel® Wi-Fi 7, specifically the Wifi 7 BE200, is version 6.5.

Thank you so much for your understanding.
