No 40MHz - options are either 20MHz Only or Auto. Why this limitation?
With Intel, speed is 72.2 Mbps. With a free VPN it's 100Mbps. With wifi direct it's 1.0Gbps. Obviously I'd use wifi direct, but it keeps disconnecting every 15sec or so.
My laptop is Asus ROG G752VS. Am I stuck with this particular Intel at 20MHz?

Hello Choronzon,
Thanks for posting.
The reason why there are only two options; Auto or 20 MHz is because the channel width is defined by the router or access point. If your router is set to channel width 40 Mhz, the adapter will comply as long as it is set to Auto.
You can confirm this and learn more about other advanced options for your wireless adapter here:

Best regards,
Eugenio F.
