How to uninstall ProSet Wireless drivers for Win7? (Not listed in add/remove programs list.)

Hello all

I have a Samsung 700G7C-S01UK laptop, which contains an Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235 wireless card, and which runs Windows 7 64-bit.

The drivers provided by Samsung are out of date, so I downloaded and installed the following ones from Intel:

Wireless_15.6_Ds64.exe (wireless driver) from http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=22495&ProdId=3502&lang=eng http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=22495&ProdId=3502&lang=eng

and

BT_2.6.1211_s64.exe (Bluetooth driver) from http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=22422&ProdId=3502&lang=eng http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=22422&ProdId=3502&lang=eng

Because I am currently testing different combinations of drivers with this laptop, I would like to be able to uninstall the drivers in the future.

However, whereas the Bluetooth driver appears in the Windows add/remove programs list, and can be uninstalled from there, the wireless driver does not appear in the add/remove programs list.

To be clear, the driver did install successfully, and the problem is not that I can't get the installation or uninstallation to complete. The problem is that there appears to be no way to uninstall it at all.

Could anyone advise on how I would remove that Intel wireless driver, if I wanted to?

Make a system restore point.

Download the drivers you need for the Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235 and save them to your desktop.

Start, control panel, device manager, network adapters, right click on Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235, left click uninstall. Tell it to remove the software and drivers.

Restart your computer.

When you log back in with an unrestricted user account, the new hardware wizard will try to install the adapter. It usually fails to install. Then install the drivers that you saved to your desktop.

Out of interest, is there a version of the driver from Intel that provides an add/remove programs entry in Windows control panel? Just because it can be useful to see at a glance which drivers are installed.
