Well, I see hsk's scenario is very different from what kloana is describing. I wonder if the code 10 in device manager is general rule here but I would recommend contacting the Intel® support center so we can assist you with each individual case.

Intel is a big company. Can they provide a working driver?

I had the same problem using an AC7260 on Win 8.1 and I solved uninstalling all Intel wireless solution (software + drivers) and installing only the drivers package (17.0.3.2).
Give it a try and see if it works for you.

Joe_Intel,
I'm using the latest driver (17.0.5) and this is still occurring.
I have the Intel Dual Band Wireless AC 7260. Isn't this your flagship wireless card?
I have a Razer Blade 14 (2014 Model)
Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1
Please reply if a true fix for this issue is imminent.

Ssshhhhhh!! You're not supposed to say it out loud. Intel needs to pretend that You're the ONLY one having the issue and that CLEARLY the issue is with YOUR unique configuration and of course Intel is in NO wat at fault LOL!

same issue here with latest driver on a Dell XPS15 9530 Windows 7 Pro.
I wrote a batch which deaktivates the wlan adapter and aktivate it after sleep.
@echo off
rem ================================================================
::
:: Wlan Adapter Reset
:: Version 1.0.1.2014.07.10
::
rem ================================================================
@echo der Wlan Adapter wird deaktiviert
netsh interface set interface Drahtlosnetzwerkverbindung disable
rem ================================================================
::
:: Wir geben dem Adapter etwas Zeit zum deaktivieren
::
rem ================================================================
@echo Wir geben dem Adapter etwas Zeit zum deaktivieren
timeout /T 5 /NOBREAK
rem ================================================================
::
:: Adapter wieder aktivieren
::
rem ================================================================
@echo der Adapter wird wieder aktiviert
netsh interface set interface Drahtlosnetzwerkverbindung enable
rem ================================================================
::
:: Alle Aufgabe ausgeführt. Der Wlan Adapter sollte sich
:: jetzt wieder mit dem Router verbinden.
:: Sollte dies nicht der Fall sein, dann diese Datei
:: noch einmal ausführen.
::
rem ================================================================
pause
You can copy&paste the code into a new .bat file. (Create it with Notepad)
Create a shortcut onto your Desktop and give it administrative rights. (settings -> advanced settings)
Also you may have to change the name of the adapter "Drahtlosnetzwerkverbindung" to your needs.

Thank you for this Mordewal.
That being said, I do not wish Joe_Intel, or Intel in general, to take this workaround you've created to mean they should be more lax with developing a fix. It's an unacceptable bug. Not everyone knows how to disable/enable their Wifi adapter, nor do they know how to take your code and create a .bat file out of it - nor should they have to.
Intel - if you're listening, we still want a real driver fix!
Thank you.

I agree the above workaround should not be seen as a definitive solution.
After revising the whole discussion I believe we can agree that it happens in multiple Windows* operating systems as well as different brands of systems; however, more information is needed for our engineering department to properly identify and fix the issue. We need to collect this information individually.
Unfortunately, I did not receive a single reply to the PMs I sent May 9th and at this moment is not possible to send PMs but you can report your issue to your nearest support center and make reference to this thread.

Something else that would be good to know:
Is everybody experiencing the code 10 error in device manager at the time the issue occurs?
Was the Intel® wireless adapter installed by the system manufacturer?
