Hello,
For my Master's Thesis I'm researching FTM enabled wireless network cards. As in the datasheet: Intel® Wi-Fi 7 BE200 (Gale Peak 2) Product Brief ID 761674 Date 2024-01-11 FTM support is listed. However after installing the following drivers on my machine: OS: Ubuntu 25.04 x86_64 with 6.14.0-23-generic kernel
root@ubuntu:~$ sudo dmesg | grep iwlwifi
[sudo] password for root:

Using "iw" command I printed the supported capabilities (see included .txt output), however there is no mention of FTM. I tried initiating FTM request from Intel AX210 that supports FTM, however without any luck.
How to enable FTM support on Intel BE200 card?
Thank you.

Hello rafixon,
Thank you for posting in Intel community Forum.
For me to better understand and diagnose the issue further, let me ask you to provide detailed responses to the following questions. This information will help me isolate the problem and determine the most appropriate course of action moving forward.
- What is the brand and model of your system?
- Did you install the BE200 in your system manually as an upgrade or is it embedded in your system?
- Can you also provide the link of the Product Brief that you mentioned?
- Can you share more details about your research and why do you need to enable this feature?
If you have questions, please let us know. Thank you.
Best regards,

Hi Mike,
Thank you for the reply, please see the answers to the questions:
1. I'm using OS: Ubuntu 25.04 x86_64; Kernel: Linux 6.14.0-23-generic
2. I installed it manually as an upgrade in my Dell 14" laptop series,
3. Please find the attached datasheet, see section Technical Specification > IEEE WLAN Standard
4. I'd like to enable this feature to measure the performance of 802.11mc and 802.11az FTM ranging features for my masters thesis, as I'm doing research about wireless localisation techniques
Thank you
