I have an Asus N53S laptop. Recently the wireless connection has been dropping out for no reason and in some cases system checks are saying there is no adaptor installed. It is beginning to happen more frequently and I an wodering if it is a sign the adaptor is on its way out. The adaptor is an Intel Centrino N 1000. Some sites are saying it is not compatible with Windows 10. Can you suggest an updated equivalent?

AndyM2261,

There could be many reasons as to why you are experiencing this issue. If this wireless adapter is the one installed by factory, our first recommendation is for you to check with ASUS* if they have any updates that might resolve this issue. here you can find their contact information: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/topics/OEMs.html Computer Manufacturer Support Websites

Bear in mind that only your computer manufacture is entitled to inform you which Intel® Wireless Adapter is fully compatible with your current system configuration. With that being said, we also would like to take the opportunity and inform you that Intel does not support integration which is when the original wireless adapter replaced by another one.
