I just installed an AC 7260 card in my new Alienware 18. I cannot get the Bluetooth to work. I have tried all the latest drivers and have got WIFI and WIDI working. 4700mq processor. Will this card not work with my computer?

Someone else mentioned on an earlier thread that when he disconnected Antenna 2 his Bluetooth worked. I too disconnected Antenna 2 (the top connector) and my Bluetooth now works.
Now if I can just get the 5GHz side working I'll be happy.
It's amazing to me that a company with the stature of Intel can't get this adapter card right.

I got Toshiba Satellite A665-3DV12X. I think the wireless part if working perfectly. It's just the Bluetooth. It really isn't showing in device manager. I just removed the old wifi card and swapped with the new one

Frankie1220, you seem to have a hardware issue because the wireless adapter should appear in Device Manager. Please verify with the http://www.intel.com/support/oems.htm system manufacturer if this is a validated adapter for your system.

We have confirmed many users were able to fix the Code 43 issue with a power cycle after installing latest drivers, as indicated above by vampiren. Others have described a software conflict in previous page.
If you are still experiencing this issue, we will need to troubleshoot each case individually because something else is causing it. I recommend you contacting your nearest Intel® support team for further assistance:

Thanks again Intel for the latest Bluetooth software for AC-7260. As I said in a previous post I was reluctant to update to the newest drivers after updating to 3.1.1311 caused my BT to become an "unknown USB device" and reverting to my original driver (3.1.1307) was difficult. To my delight however the newest Intel BT software (17.0.1401.03) installs and functions correctly in my Windows 7 operating system. My BT is now working without issues or problems and is no longer wandering through my device manager as an "unknown USB device".

Could you elaborate on "always giving function error"?
Now, please install https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=24168&lang=eng&ProdId=3827 Intel® Download Center ( For Windows 8.1), cold boot and let me know how it went?

On systems that come with 7260, Yes. On other systems, it is the OEM who prevents BT (unsupported WiFi/BT) from being detected.

may be the taping of the 51 pin is moved and some it make a little bad contact?
i think is a 0 or 1 way. or i can't see the device or i see the device.
ok checked the taping and i remade it! pin 51 is completely isolated.

I'm having similar issues, sometimes I have the same message as terodeg or like the print screen below.
I've Upgraded the Wireless card on my VAIO SVS13 and the wifi is great compared with my older Atheros!
However I lost the blutooth funcionality..... I basically use it for pointing devices (mouse).
As an alternative I'm using an USB mouse, but's is annoying to know that I could use Bluetooth and free one USB port (I Only have 3).
I tried many drivers and alternatives but I still can't use the Bluetooth like many other users here.

Hello!
I had the same bluetooth issue on my VAIO svf15a1z2r. Hope my solution will help you too.
So, after installing ac 7260 you need to uninstall old broadcom drivers first. In VAIO and other broadcom-based devices it called something like "WIDCOMM Bluetooth Software" in windows software manager.
Just after that install driver pack from Intel (links are somewhere above in thread) and it should work without any additional movements.
Please tell if my advice will be useful.

I tried to do something similar, because the SVS13 Series comes with Atheros Wifi+BT.
I Uninstalled everything from Atheros and couldn't get the BT to work. Do you have the link from the drivers that you used?
If this doesn't work , I'll try to do a clean install (Re-install everything) to see what happens.
