Thanks @n_scott_pearson and @MIGUEL_C_Intel
Before I posted this question about AMT pop up box I started to uninstall the program, when the AMT box came on my screen and started to uninstall I realised it was the same box that came up when I installed the fix for my original problem of my wifi not being able to pick up WiFi6 signal and so concerned that I was undoing what had fixed that problem I stopped the uninstall, that was when I got on here and posted my question.
Since then the pop up box has not shown up again AND I can still pick up the WiFi6 signal so it seems that I unintentionally solved the problem (at least that's what I'm hoping happened)
Thanks for your help........this forum and the people like you that are on it has been a great find
