Intel Pro/wireless 2100 3b. Change regulatory domain. Windows.

Hi,

I'm looking forward to connect my old laptop (HP Pavilion zt3000) to a wireless network on channel 13. I cannot change the settings at the Access Point, so that is not an option. I'm currently using Windows 7; yet, when using a manjaro linux live cd, I can connect. I would like to know how may I change the regulatory domain of the driver to Japan in Windows, in order to get the wifi connection working.

Thank you in advance,

regards.

Hello MrLeech,

The available channels in your PC depend on the regulations of the country it was meant to be used and the configuration from the Computer Manufacturer. We do not have any tools to override this.

In this case, we advise you to check with the https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/topics/OEMs.html Computer Manufacturer Support, they will let you know which channels can be used by your PC, and if they have a way to change this.

Regards,
