Intel (R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz crashing

For the last 5 months this driver has been continuously crashing and erroring out for no reason. It started out by giving me a "code 10" in Device Manager after successfully booting up and connecting to a network, it would then reconnect, fail and give me "code 43". I managed to somehow fix it but then it began crashing again and again, this time with the same codes yet with different Event Viewer logs.
The events it gives me include:

  1. Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz : Has determined that the network adapter is not functioning properly.
  2. Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz : A required parameter is missing from the registry.
  3. Miniport Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz, {71177419-319f-4c87-a63e-94d9353b6abe}, had event Fatal error: The miniport has detected an internal error
  4. 5032 - Driver Miniport reset watchdog
  5. Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz : Has encountered an internal error and has failed.
  6. 6062 - Lso was triggered
  7. Miniport Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz, {7068d477-e9a8-428e-ac25-6bc2aa34b3b5}, had event Fatal error: The miniport has detected an internal error
  8. Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz : The version number is incorrect for this driver.
  9. Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz : The network adapter has returned an invalid value to the driver.

Below I have attached the SSU.txt file.

I'm using an ASUS TUF F15 FX506HE bought in 2021. The Wi-Fi drivers have never failed me until recently. Please help since I'm having my exams soon and I need it to work ASAP.

I forgot to mention that I'm using an outdated version of the drivers because they crash at an interval of 1-3 hours compared to the newer versions which crash after system startup or start in a crashed state

May we know if you made any changes to your system prior to the issue? And also, please make a list of the troubleshooting steps that you have performed so I may be able to check them and avoid recommending them again.

We look forward to your response!

I've updated to Windows 11 two weeks ago.

Before I updated to Windows 11, I used to troubleshoot by running the default windows troubleshooter, and as a temporary fix, reset all the network adapters, which only lasted for a day or two.

I am having the exact same problem and exact same laptop. My ax201 wifi adapter connection seems to die with any amount of moderate to heavy traffic.

Thanks for checking up. It seemed to have solved itself and managed to work for a week and a half before crashing again this time presenting more error messages in event viewer such as:

  1. 5055 - HW error
  2. Miniport Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz, {d7a40ceb-b623-4664-a578-4a6a7f3e9d7f}, had event Fatal error: The miniport has detected an internal error

I have performed all the troubleshooting steps you presented and they haven't managed to solve the issue. Is there anything else I could do?

Hello Overclocked,

Thank you so much for the response or update.

Given that you have attempted every troubleshooting step we provided and the problem still persists, kindly submit your newly generated SSU. Since I will be raising the case with our engineers for a thorough investigation.

Furthermore, just a heads up: in most cases, if the above troubleshooting steps do not work, it might already be related to a hardware issue, and it will be best that you contact ASUS support for further assistance. However, before that, our engineers will still further investigate the issue, as it might not be the case.

Let's hope we can find a solution to this problem. And by the way, you're efforts were truly appreciated.

Hello Overclocked,

We have not heard back from you, so we will close this enquiry now. If you need further assistance, please submit a new question, as this thread will no longer be monitored.

By the way, we highly suggest that you contact ASUS Support since the issue that we are facing might already be related to a hardware issue.

Thank you so much for your understanding.
