A couple of years ago, I started getting this problem where the Wi-Fi icon on my computer would randomly disappear completely. I eventually figured out that this was because the intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 ax201 160mhz driver had failed for some reason. I am able to fix this by uninstalling the driver completely, then shutting down my laptop via the command prompt. After I turn it back on, the Wi-Fi driver will be back to normal, and I can reconnect. However, this is a temporary fix because the driver always inevitably breaks again, sometimes even in the same day. I constantly keep my intel drivers and windows up to date. I've dealt with this for two years, and I'm really tired of it. Does anyone know how I can permanently solve this issue? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

- Are there any error codes or yellow bang that can be seen in the Task Manager?
- Are there any error messages that can be seen in the Windows Event Viewer?
- Have you tried a fresh OS install?
- Have you done other troubleshooting steps?

Thank you for providing your SSU Log. Upon checking your SSU Log report, I have noticed there that your Wireless Adapter is indeed not working Properly. Since you have mentioned that there is a yellow bang on the Device Manager, typically there is an error code indicated there, may I know what is the Error Code Number being displayed?

Hallo:
I have same wifi adapter and Intel 400 chipset. In device manager - advanced tab - Is Property: 802.11 a/b/g Wireless mode with Value: 6. Dual band 802.11 a/b/g showing and being utilized ? I'm looking at my ssu and your ssu and I do see several differences from default. Mine has never had a hiccup.

Thank you for your response. The Error Code 43 does indeed indicate that your Wi-Fi Card does have problems. Upon further checking, I have noticed that you are using our Generic Driver, it may be possible that our latest driver is incompatible with your system. With that being said, I highly advise for you to download your OEM Driver and perform a Clean Installation of the Wireless Driver Version V22.130.0.5 15.21 MB 2022/05/06.

I have downloaded the wireless driver you listed from my original equipment manufacturer and have followed all of the instructions for a clean installation. For the moment, I'll have to wait to see if this solves the problem.

Unfortunately, the clean installation does not appear to have worked. I have followed the instructions for a clean installation, but even after repeating steps A through D until the checkbox Attempt to remove the device from your computer option no longer appears, the driver will just be back in device manager after I restart my computer, and I can't figure out how to permanently delete it. Because I can't delete the old driver, I can't install the oem one. Got any ideas for what I should try next?

This may help. Download the latest Intel wifi driver in zip format. Unzip the driver and then update your wifi adapter through device manager. Use " Have Disk" and find the inf file in the unzipped folder for your adapter and and select it, Windows will install the wifi driver, also under clean install method Intel states continue steps A through D even if delete driver is greyed out until it is not.

I don't see an option to download the wifi drivers in zip format on Intel or Asus' websites, just an option to download it in exe format. If you can provide me a link, that would be very helpful. For the clean installation, Intel states to Repeat steps A through D until the option to Delete the driver software for this device is greyed out. For windows 10, the check box says delete the driver software, but for windows 11(which is what I have), the check box instead says Attempt to remove the device from your computer. I believe this is the same thing, just a slight change between windows 10 and 11. Even after I would repeat steps A through D until that check box no longer appeared and uninstalled the driver, it would just always be back after I restarted my computer, so step 3 doesn't work. I appreciate your help and sorry for any confusion.

Downloads search for 23.110.0. Mine gets the Intel Proset drivers from Intel driver and support assistant and installs it which is available in zip form and is the latest. Try Delete the driver and turn off the wifi completely reboot and install the newest drivers from the executable 1st and then let me select have disk method- find the inf file and input in and then okay, briefly if the exe. file has issues installing the packages. If you need internet connectivity during this use a hard line to your cable modem, wifi router lan port or a downstream switch port.
