Hello Reu,

Thank you for posting in Intel community Forum.

For me to better understand and diagnose the issue further, let me ask you to provide detailed responses to the following questions. This information will help me isolate the problem and determine the most appropriate course of action moving forward.

  1. What is the model of the wireless controller?
  2. What is the brand and model of your system?
  3. Are you having issues with Bluetooth connectivity?
  4. If you are getting an error message, please send a screenshot.
  5. Did you install this wireless controller on your system manually as an upgrade or is it embedded on the system?
  6. For me to check the hardware and the drivers, please help generate the SSU logs of your system. Kindly refer to the link below on how to generate the logs:

How to get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows*

If you have questions, please let us know. Thank you.

Good morning Michael L.

Thank you for the quick reply,

I also tried reinstalling the driver today: Intel® Wireless Bluetooth® Drivers for Windows® 10 and Windows 11.

It doesn't allow me to upload the 2 photos, so I'm attaching a copy.

(Attached is a picture of: SSU64 and another picture of the driver details).

Thank you in advance Michael L,

Have a nice day

Regards,

Reu

Hello Reu,

Thank you for the update.

Based on the SSU logs, you are using Intel® Wireless-AC 9462.

Can you try to manually download and install the Bluetooth driver?

Kindly refer to the link below for the download link of the latest Bluetooth driver:

Intel® Wireless Bluetooth® Drivers for Windows® 10 and Windows 11*

Let me add, in that link under description, there is an added instruction:

  • For PCs with Intel® Wireless-AC 9560, Intel® Wireless-AC 9462, Intel® Wireless-AC 9461: Before Upgrading from 23.10.x.x—23.50.x.x versions to this 23.160.0 driver, the user needs to disconnect all the Bluetooth® devices and unpair all the previously paired devices in the PC. Once the upgrade is complete, the user can repair the devices and connect them. Fixes for PCs with Bluetooth® drivers prior to 23.10.0 can be upgraded to 23.160.0.

If you have questions, please let us know. Thank you.

Good morning Mike,
I have already tried this and again today as per your request, attached is a screenshot of the message,
You can see that the message is: "There is already another installation in progress.........."
Is there an option or way to see and close the other installation that is already in progress in the background?
I would like to add that I just turned on the computer and immediately downloaded from the link you provided and as mentioned,
there is still an installation process that I was unaware of.

Thanks for the help.
Best regards,
Reu.

Hello Reu,

Thank you for the update.

Please reboot your system first and make sure there is no other installation process running in the background.

If you are using Intel DSA, you may try to uninstall it and reinstall it after done with the manual installation of the Bluetooth driver.

If you have questions, please let us know. Thank you.

Thanks again Mike_Intel!

I did everything as you wrote.

I still have a problem of " installation process running in the background"

Maybe you can help me find and close the Intel installation file that is running in the background

and does not allow me to install the new driver :

BT-23.160.0-64UWD-Win10-Win11?

Good morning Michael L and thanks for the help.

I downloaded from the link you gave:

Download and Save the Latest Drivers for Your Intel Wireless Adapter. " Bluetooth® ,and WiFi There is no change,

still writes that there is software that runs in the background so the installation cannot be completed.

Intel has software that does test and closes the open file or scan and file repair?

Thanks for help,

Thanks again.
